Hiking Option for this Sunday
A few folks have expressed interest in hiking (walk and shop) the Rose Bowl Flea Market. And, well, why not?! There is plenty to see & plenty of walking.
Price of admission for the flea market is $8 after 9AM, but there is plenty of free parking. It will be a rather warm day in Pasadena -- I'm guessing we won't last until closing time -- so remember that the pool at the ranch is waiting for you.
For those of you heading out to explore the many wonders of this monthly flea market, I suggest meeting up at 10AM in front of the big Rose Bowl sign on the stadium. That's the one just inside the main entrance, designated Gate A.

Directions Coming from south of the 134, take the 5 freeway north to the Sunland exit. Head North on Sunland Blvd about 2km to Penrose, turn right.
Drive east until you hit the last house on the right.

Notes This is a home just north of Burbank. We have wireless (and wired) so feel free to bring your laptop. Most events include use of the pool, which is black bottomed, bring towel + suit. Almost all events are potluck, so share food, share wit, share the fun. |
